Cape Town International Airport
Upon arrival in Cape Town, collect your luggage and clear customs.
Meet your English-speaking driver for your transfer to the hotel.
Please note: Only one transfer is included per booking or group.

Check-in is available from 2:00 PM.
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some leisure time available for shopping.
Check in to Sun Square Cape Town Gardens (or similar), a stylish and centrally located hotel nestled beneath Table Mountain.
Enjoy a welcome cocktail reception where you’ll meet your local guide and fellow travelers, and receive a full briefing on the upcoming adventure.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
Begin the day with an overview of Cape Town, originally established in 1652 as a refreshment station for trade between Europe and the Far East.
Visit Table Mountain (weather permitting). This excursion takes approximately two hours. Take the cable car to the top for panoramic views of the city, the Atlantic Ocean, and Robben Island. The mountain is home to over 1,400 species of flowers and the rock hyrax, often spotted sunbathing on the rocks.
Continue with a city orientation tour. Walk through the historic Bo-Kaap district, known for its colorful homes and Cape Malay heritage. Visit a traditional spice shop and experience the local aromas.
Enjoy lunch at a local Cape Malay restaurant. Alcohol is not served at this establishment.
Return to the hotel to freshen up.
Enjoy dinner at GOLD Restaurant, featuring a pan-African tasting menu with live drumming and dance performances. Participate in an interactive drumming session.
Return to the hotel for overnight.

Depart for a full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula. Drive along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Pass to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Visit the most southwesterly tip of Africa. Choose to walk to the lighthouse or take the funicular. A funicular ticket is not included.
Continue to Simon’s Town and enjoy a seafood lunch with ocean views.

Return to the hotel.

Depart for the Cape Winelands. Visit Seven Sisters Wine Estate and meet one of the founders to learn about their journey of resilience in a male-dominated industry.
Continue to Val du Charron in Wellington. Enjoy lunch and wine tasting with mountain views, and hear the story of the Black Countess and the estate’s rich history.
Return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.
Evening at leisure. You may explore local restaurants or relax at the hotel.

Transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your domestic flight to Johannesburg.
The flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg is not included.
Upon arrival in Johannesburg, meet your English-speaking driver and transfer to Mabula Private Game Reserve (or similar). Check in and enjoy lunch at the lodge.
Your stay includes full board: three meals per day and two daily safari activities in open game drive vehicles.
In the afternoon, depart on your first safari game drive at 3:30 PM. Explore the reserve’s diverse habitats and spot wildlife including the Big Five, hyenas, jackals, antelope, and potentially cheetahs or honey badgers.
Return to the lodge for dinner.

Depart for Soweto, a township rich in political history and modern community life.
Visit a local bakery that was born out of COVID-era necessity and has since become a thriving community business. Meet a local NGO working on sustainable food production and education initiatives.

Take a 1.5-hour Tuk-Tuk ride through Soweto, passing landmarks including Vilakazi Street, Nelson Mandela’s former home, and the Hector Pietersen Museum.
