During this festival, in Rio de Janeiro, there is a huge contest among the ‘Samba Schools’ (group of 4,000 to 5,000 persons dressed in costumes that tell a story of a specific theme), the communities where the Samba Music and its Colorful Costumes are the main characters.

Upon arrival in Rio, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day to get acquainted with the neighborhood and the beautiful beach of Copacabana.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. You will head on a half-day city tour of downtown Rio de Janeiro, starting at Copacabana and Ipanema, two of the world’s most famous beaches. A cable car takes you to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain for a panoramic view of the beaches and Guanabara Bay.

Another day in the “Cidade Maravilhosa” (the Marvelous City) as the locals refer to Rio. The day is free for more optional activities; continue exploring Rio and its surroundings, work on your suntan, get some rest, do last-minute shopping, or go to a ball…the options are endless!

Monday evening is the night we typically recommend attending the Sambadrome Parade, giving guests the opportunity to see the winning samba school from the previous year's competition.
Entrance tickets to the Carnival Parade are not included and are optional. Rates are subject to availability and may change. Grandstand tickets are currently USD 460.00 per person.
