Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we spend the full day visiting Hanoi’s major attractions.

In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature, which was built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university; Hoan Kiem Lake, which translates to ‘Lake of the Restored Sword’, which is linked to a mystical story; and Ngoc Son Temple, which sits in the middle of this famed lake. We round our exploration off with a cyclo tour around Hanoi’s Old Quarter, which is filled with both French and Chinese influences.
In the end, visit the theatre for a Water Puppet Show; this unique Vietnamese traditional art originates from rural festivals in Vietnam. The artists-men and women-stand waist-deep in water to manipulate the puppets, making them move about, talk and laugh, and even dance on the surface of the water.

After breakfast, drive to Ha Long Bay for an overnight cruise on the Bay.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to thousands of dramatic limestone karsts that jut out of the ocean.
We board the boat and set off on our unforgettable exploration of this fascinating natural phenomenon. Unlike Camille and Jean-Bapstite in the famous movie Indochine, we enjoy a lavish seafood meal and take part in a variety of activities, including swimming and kayaking among the ancient rock formations and visiting caves that date back millions of years.
In the late afternoon, we can kick back and relax on the sun deck, soak up the sublime surroundings, enjoy a sundowner cocktail during happy hour, and learn how to cook like a local with a cooking demonstration.
Dinner & Overnight on cruise
Please note: A TFTW guide will not accompany on board. There is a local English guide in-house to take care of clients on board.

Early risers can wake up at dawn to enjoy the sunrise and another Tai Chi session on the sundeck as we set sail for our return journey through Ha Long Bay.
A hearty breakfast is enjoyed on the boat as we pass by more of the Bay’s intriguing rock formations and dramatic limestone islets that have been created over millions of years of weather conditions and strong seas.
There is a range of activities for passengers to enjoy, including fishing and informative talks from the crew about the sites we sail by. Alternatively, kick back on the deck and soak up the seascapes.

Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, the day trip to the imperial city of Hue begins with the Citadel, the former "forbidden" imperial city, where you will then embark on a journey into the past. Faded colors and peeling plaster have not been able to harm the grandeur of the palaces and temples. Afterward, visit Minh Mang tomb before heading to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass.
Recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site, Hoi An charms visitors with its unique architecture and rich cultural traditions. The town offers a peaceful, timeless beauty—ancient houses with moss-covered tile roofs, colorful lantern-lit streets, and vibrant traditional festivals that bring its heritage to life.

Overnight is in Hoi An | Meals: Breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, we depart from the hotel for a half-day excursion to My Son Sanctuary, the capital and religious center of the former Champa Kingdom. This is situated 40 km south-west of Hoi An in idyllic countryside. It has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, and the protected sanctuary houses dozens of red-brick towers and temples, dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries. After this fascinating exploration of the ancient artifacts, we head back to Hoi An for a half-day walking tour that takes in the best attractions this historic and picturesque UNESCO-listed destination has to offer. As a former prosperous seaport during the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An attracted merchants from afar. Consequently, it has a wealth of buildings and architectural styles. We visit the colorful local market, Tan Ky Old House, the Fukien Assembly Hall, and the renowned 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge. We will also see how residents raise silkworms to produce silk for Hoi An's burgeoning textile industry. You will then visit craftsmen with skillful hands, showing you how to create brightly colored lanterns. Expertly guided, you could make yourself a lantern as a beautiful memorial gift.
In the evening, a local guide will arrange a rowing sampan, and you can make wishes by placing water lanterns on the river, taking photos of colorful lanterns, and experiencing the amazing charm of Hoi An Ancient Town, a world heritage site.
