Itinerary
Upon your arrival, one of our representatives will greet you at the main exit of the airport, holding a distinctive sign with your name on it. Reception and transfer to the city of San Salvador.
Overnight in San Salvador | Meals: N/A
After breakfast in the hotel. We will start a guided tour of the main points of interest in the capital and El Boquerón National Park. San Salvador is the political, cultural, educational, economic, artistic, health, and financial center of El Salvador, absorbing several surrounding municipalities, it has become the second-largest metropolitan area in Central America. Today, you will visit the historic center with its main squares and emblematic monuments such as the National Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral. You can also visit El Rosario Church. Additionally, you will tour the main areas of the city, including the iconic Salvador del Mundo at Las Américas Square. At El Boquerón National Park, enjoy views of the inactive crater of this volcano and panoramic views of the entire city. On the way, you will visit Picnic Steakhouse where you will have the option (paid directly) to experience the adrenaline of the Rainbow Slide. Afterward, transfer to the charming colonial city of Suchitoto.

After breakfast. We will start our guided tour in Suchitoto. Boat Tour and Indigo Workshop Suchitoto, which means "Place of the Flower Bird" in Nahuat, is known as the cradle of Culture and History. Here, the essence of colonial style remains, visible in its buildings and houses as you walk through the cobblestone streets amidst the tranquility of daily activities where time seems to have stood still in the past. During this walking tour, you will learn more about the history of the place and its historical monuments, including the Church of Santa Lucia, built in 1853. Later, take a boat tour on the calm waters of Lake Suchitlán and also have the opportunity, with the help of local experts, to participate in an indigo workshop, a natural dye extracted from a plant and known since pre-Hispanic times.

After breakfast. We will start our guided tour of the main archaeological sites in El Salvador: Joya de Cerén, San Andrés, and Tazumal. Also a stop in the city of Santa Ana. Guided tour of the Joya de Cerén archaeological site, better known as the "Pompeii of America," declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site
in 1993. At the site, you will admire a pre-Columbian Maya agricultural village that was remarkably preserved due to several layers of volcanic ash from an eruption in 600 AD. Then, you will visit the San Andrés archaeological site, a very important political and ceremonial center with various structures for the use of governors. Visit the Historic Center of Santa Ana. Taking a panoramic tour, see its beautiful Cathedral, designed to resemble a Gothic-style Cathedral. Finally, Tazumal is an architectural complex with the largest pyramid in El Salvador. This archaeological site was a sophisticated and important city where vestiges of pre-Columbian artistic development have been found. We continue to Concepción de Ataco for overnight.

After breakfast. We will start our guided tour through the tourist circuit in the towns of the Flower Route. This is one of the most visited destinations in El Salvador, where you'll explore the picturesque towns of the Apaneca mountains to learn about local life in these places away from the big cities. In Nahuizalco, you'll see descendants of the last remaining indigenous communities in the country, and explore its colorful market and main square. In Juayúa, the tour is similar, although this town has a different urban layout and a church dedicated to a Black Christ. Enjoy the mountain climate, surrounded by green hills covered with coffee plantations and the weekend gastronomic festival. You'll end up in Ataco, one of the most popular towns. Stroll through its cobblestone streets to see the art gallery printed on the murals of the houses, reflecting the good traditions and everyday life of Salvadorans.

After breakfast. We will start our Unguided transfer to the Volcanoes National Park. Climbing with a local guide for 3-4 hours ascent/descent – Difficulty of this trek: Moderate. At the end, transfer to Costa del Sol Beach. This is an incredible adventure tour to the crater of the Santa Ana Volcano, with an altitude of 2,384 meters above sea level. The Santa Ana Volcano, better known as Ilamatepec, is the tallest and most voluminous volcano in the coastal range in the region. The path to the crater is narrow and of moderate difficulty. Along the way, you'll find a series of viewpoints, from where you can admire the beauty of the natural landscape surrounding the Lake and Volcanoes Complex. From there, you can see the emerald-green lagoon inside the volcano. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to see the beautiful landscape of Lake Coatepeque, Izalco Volcano, Cerro Verde, and the Pacific Ocean. Transfer to Costa del Sol Beach.

Free Day at the Beach B// El Salvador's coastline stretches only 300 kilometers from west to east, yet its strategic position in the Pacific favors it with some of the world's most acclaimed beaches for surfers who consider them perfect for practicing this sport. Additionally, the warm water allows you to enjoy a swim or simply sunbathe. Today in Costa del Sol, enjoy this beach and the tranquility of the waves. You can also stay at your hotel to take advantage of amenities such as the pool or relax in the garden.
